Sarah delivered ice cream to show our appreciation to the firefighters at Fenton Fire District. 

After this Commercial Building experienced a water main break, our crews were on site to mitigate the water as quickly as possible. Here we can see our crew members putting new ceiling tiles back into the drop ceiling after the dry out was complete.

Many of the homes in the City of St. Louis have been around for a while, and are prone to have Roof and Basement Leaks. During a Rain Storm this St. Louis home took on water through the small gaps in the roofing.

This garage had recently experienced a fire. The framing for the garage had heavy soot damage. The wood framing was a good candidate for our Ice Blasting Machine. We were able to clean and deodorize the framing rather than remove and replace it.

In this photo you can see that the Sump Pump has failed, and water has overflowed into the unfinished basement. Luckily for these homeowners most of their contents are elevated off the ground. This prevented them from being affected. This is a great practice for storing your personal items in your basement.

When a Thunderstorm rolled through Kirkwood it caused water to leak into this home affecting the ceiling and the hardwood flooring. We used plastic to tent off the floor, forcing dehumidified air into the affected flooring to speed up the drying process.

This business experienced a large sewer backup when part of their sewer line collapsed. The water that was being used in the building had no where to go due to the collapsed pipe so it backed up into this building.

The drying equipment seen in this photo is our Air Movers. We strategically place equipment to ensure an efficient dry out of the building materials. If you look closely you can see the small vent holes that were drilled in the wall. We do this in order to get air movement between the walls. This helps save the drywall, and keeps it from being removed as we dry in-place.

This is our Cold Jet Ice Blasting Machine. Here we can see one of our Project Managers loading Dry Ice into the machine. Ice Blasting is an efficient way to remove soot from a variety of building materials.

A master bathroom toilet leaked overnight, and water ran through the flooring and down to a main level dining room. You can see the damages that water can do, even with a slow leak.

In the case that a large area or entire building has been affected by water damage we need to scale up our equipment to match the level of the loss. Here you can see a Desiccant Dehumidifier in action. This piece of equipment is using Low Grain Dehumidification to properly remove moisture from a large area.

This piece of equipment is called an Air Scrubber. Used as a negative air machine or HEPA air scrubber to remove airborne contaminants after fire or smoke damage. Air enters the unit passing through two-stage HEPA filtration to remove airborne particles. Optional third stage activated carbon filter removes airborne gases and odors.

A tenant had a small lamp in his closet that was plugged in overnight. As you can see the lamp malfunctioned causing a fire to ignite. This goes to show why it is important to unplug light fixtures that we are not using, and to properly insure yourself by acquiring renters insurance.

In this photo we see our own Adam Smith holding a section of drywall that has been affected by smoke and soot during a fire. Our Course Instructor can be seen explaining how smoke and soot can become embedded in the drywall causing smoke odor to linger.

Every year we participate in the Jim Hanifan & Charley Armey Golf Classic. This event is for the benefit of Shriners Hospital - St Louis. A charity that is near and dear to our franchise owners, Jeff and Sandy Chestnas.

During heavy rainfalls our sump pumps sometimes struggle to keep up, or don't kick on at all causing water not to drain properly through the sump pump. Here we can see the water line from a flooded home in Sunset Hills, MO. This photo was taken from the second story of a home that was affected by flooding due to heavy rain.

This St. Louis office building suffered serious damages after a recent sump pump failure. Notice the extent of the sump pump failure as the water has spread throughout the whole office. Our crews extracted all the water from the building and made sure the problem with the sump pump was fixed to make sure it wouldn't over flow again. In this picture you can see a green hose and a tool that looks similar to a vacuum. The vacuum and hose are used to extract all the sump pump water from the carpet and into a bucket in the other room. The whole process took our crews a total of seven days to complete. The customers from the office were very happy to have their office fixed and not filled with water anymore. This is during the process of cleaning and removing mold spores covering a basement in St. Louis, Missouri. In this photo, to the right, you can see that there is mold all over the ground and some parts on the wall. This was an aftermath of a kite electrical fire in Creve Coeur, MO when our crews of SERVPRO arrived on scene. The cause of the fire was due to a staple that was driven too tightly against a Romex electrical cable, which caused it to overheat and catch fire. Our crews were able to clean the soot from the walls and ceiling. We were also able to make the homeowners house "Like it never even happened." and no one  could not tell that there was any fire damage to their house. This was in the process of cleaning a commercial building in Fenton, MO. One of our crews members were scrubbing the floors with a roto to get all the mud off the floor. There was a significant amount of mud on the floor. The owner of the commercial building could not believe how efficient the roto worked. Also the owner was in shock on  how quickly and completely our crews were able to clean the floors and the rest of the building. We make disasters "Like it never even happened."

Dirty ducts in this home located in Manchester in St. Louis, MO. Our crew at SERVPRO of West Kirkwood cleaned the ducts out to help reduce the amount of dust in the home owners home.
