Sump Pump Failure in Sunset Hills, MO

When heavy rains fell in Sunset Hills, MO this sump pump could not keep up with the volume of water. This caused water to flood this basement. As you can see in the Before Photo, this basement was full of the homeowners contents. Once all the contents were removed we were able to address the water damage at hand.

We had to remove the lower portion of the walls due to multiple layers of building materials. When an area has more than one layer or drywall or paneling it creates trapped moisture. This trapped moisture if very difficult to dry out, due to a lack of air movement between layers. This is also a great place for mold to start growing. So we removed the sections of multiple layers, allowing us to mitigate properly.
