Pipe burst in a Church in Kirkwood, MO

Disasters strike nearly anytime of year, and without any warning. For example this Church in Kirkwood, MO experienced a major pipe break in their facility. Thankfully the water affected mainly office area, and left the Church and Day care undamaged.

The pipe burst due to lack of insulation in the ceiling. The insulation just wasn't deep enough to cover up the exposed copper pipes. Freezing temperatures caused a buildup of ice, which resulted in the failure of the copper pipe. Luckily one of the staff members came to the Church the morning after it happened, catching the loss relatively quickly and shut of water to the building.
