Sewer Back up in Frontenac, MO

This sewer back up was caused by a blockage of tree roots in the homeowners Private Lateral Sewer Line. This type of loss is typically covered by insurance, as long as the homeowner has the Sewer Backup endorsement. We always educate of clients of adding this to their policy if they haven't done so already!

The area affected is rather small, but still is considered to be a Category 3 water intrusion. Category 3 water intrusions result from a gross unsanitary source, and should be mitigated properly.

It is a good practice to have your private sewer line cleaned out annually as a preventative measure.
